What are the clips for intestinal polyps?

The clips for intestinal polyps refer to hemostatic clips, which can clamp local tissues, have the effect of hemostasis, and can also promote wound healing. There are two types of hemostatic clips commonly used in clinical practice, namely titanium hemostatic clips and biological hemostatic clips. Patients can choose the type of hemostatic clips according to their actual situation.

1. Titanium hemostatic clip: mainly made of titanium alloy. The entire hemostatic clip consists of two parts: the clip and the clamp tube. The clip has a clamping effect and has the effect of preventing bleeding. The main function of the clamp tube is to be more convenient when releasing the clip. It is mostly used in clinical treatment of gastrointestinal polypectomy. For example, after intestinal polypectomy, titanium clips can be used appropriately to close the nourishing blood vessels that nourish the polyps, which can prevent bleeding after polypectomy;

2. Biological hemostatic clip: mainly made of absorbable material, similar in shape to titanium hemostatic clips, with relatively small volume specifications. The main function is also to prevent bleeding, avoid wound infection, and close the wound. Because it is absorbable, it will generally be slowly absorbed by the body after use. The absorption time needs to be determined according to the patient's own constitution. If the intestinal polyp is relatively large, or the patient's physical condition is sensitive and is sensitive to titanium hemostatic clips, this type of clip can be selected.
